From 13 to 15 May, the 16th China International Aluminum processing Summit in 2021 was successfully held in Foshan, Guangdong Province. Shanghai Sendi Lubrication attended the summit.

Today, the world is experiencing great changes not seen in a century. China's aluminum processing industry is facing an unprecedented complex and grim situation at home and abroad. Domestic traditional consumption slows down as a whole, and emerging consumption needs to be cultivated; international trade protection is intensifying. Aluminum export pressure is increasing. However, China's aluminum processing industry has a solid foundation, and still has obvious comparative advantages, strong resilience and anti-risk ability, especially the timely proposal of the national "double cycle" strategy, which has pointed out the direction for the future development of the industry. Generally speaking, China's aluminum processing industry is still in an important period of strategic opportunity for development.

The scale of the peak meeting reached 1000 person-times, and the participants were mainly service units of the aluminum industry, government research institutions of equipment, auxiliary materials, consumables and technical industry associations, including rolled aluminum alloy: casting coil, large flat ingot aluminum coil, aluminum strip, aluminum foil, extruded aluminum alloy: aluminum bar, aluminum profile, aluminum tube, cast aluminum alloy: aluminum alloy ingots, aluminum castings and other aluminum processing and application units.

The meeting set up a main forum and four sub-forums to interpret the complete industrial chain of aluminum processing. The discussion of the main forum was held on the afternoon of May 13, with topics including the analysis of the global macroeconomic situation and macro policies in 2021, the utilization of secondary aluminum resources and the brainstorming discussion of China's aluminum processing industry. Focus on the development of the industry, the rise and fall of aluminum prices, procurement strategy, aluminum export, recycled aluminum.

Four sub-forums were held all day on May 14, including: aluminum alloy melting and casting technology forum, industrial aluminum extrusion material application forum, casting aluminum alloy new application and technology forum, aluminum plate, strip and foil industry development forum. The key technologies, industry status and development prospects of aluminum processing are analyzed in detail.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
