Nickel ore inventories at Chinese ports fell 255,000 wmt to 5.48 million wmt

Nickel ore inventories across all Chinese ports decreased 255,000 wmt from April 2 to 5.48 million wmt as of April 9, showed SMM data. 

SHANGHAI, Apr 9 (SMM) — Nickel ore inventories across all Chinese ports decreased 255,000 wmt from April 2 to 5.48 million wmt as of April 9, showed SMM data. 
 
In Ni content, the stocks fell 2,000 mt to 43,000 mt. 
 
SMM data also showed that nickel ore stocks across seven major Chinese ports decreased 365,000 wmt during the same period to 4.32 million wmt. 
 
Stocks at some ports began to increase, while the overall nickel ore stocks were still in a downward trend, which were at a historically low position. After the rainy season, the main mining areas in the Philippines will resume normal shipment, and nickel ore inventories at Chinese ports will gradually increase in the middle and late April.
