SHANGHAI, Jun 24 (SMM) – Yunnan Tin Group, China’s largest tin producer, said late Tuesday that it would suspend production for maintenance at its smelter from June 24.
The maintenance is expected to last for no more than 28 days and will not have great impact on the company’s annual production plan, Yunnan Tin noted in the statement.
The most actively traded tin contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange—the one for August delivery—advanced 0.4% to 138,300 yuan/mt at 10:28 Beijing time on Wednesday, on track for a sixth consecutive weekly gain.
