SHANGHAI, Nov 20 (SMM) – Total installed capacity of lithium-ion power battery in China rose 2% month on month to 6.1 GWh in October, 82.9% higher than October 2017, according to data by Chinese lithium battery research institution RealLi Research.
For electric vehicles (EVs), installed capacity of passenger vehicles' batteries reached 1.3 GWh in October with a year-over-year increase of 40.32% while installed capacity of speciality vehicles fell 20.27% on a yearly basis to 604.9MWh.
For plug-in-electric vehicles (PHEVs), installed capacity of passenger vehicles' batteries amounted to 4.6MWh in October and that of speciality vehicle batteries soared 159.46% from a year ago to 428.6MWh.
