SHFE 1702 zinc opened at RMB 22,920/mt and dropped to RMB 22,100/mt, hitting a low of RMB 22,010/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 2 (SMM) – SHFE 1702 zinc opened at RMB 22,920/mt and dropped to RMB 22,100/mt, hitting a low of RMB 22,010/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1701 zinc rallied due to short covering and closed at RMB 22,350/mt, down RMB 480/mt or 2.1%. Trading volumes increased 58,624 lots to 507,000 lots, and positions added 4,004 to 195,000. Trading volumes on SHFE 1701 zinc decreased 177,000 lots to 355,000 lots, and positions decreased 11,882 to 108,000. SHFE 1702 zinc is expected to remain weak in the evening session.
