SHFE Lead Prices Up 0.64% (2016-10-24)

SHFE 1612 lead opened at RMB 15,665/mt and ended at RMB 15,755/mt, up RMB 100/mt or 0.64%.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 24 (SMM) – On last Friday’s night trading, SHFE 1612 lead started lower at RMB 15,725/mt and once hit the year’s best at RMB 15,875/mt. The contract later gave up previous gains and finally closed at RMB 15,700/mt.

On Monday, SHFE 1612 lead opened at RMB 15,665/mt and climbed to RMB 15,760/mt. The contract finally ended at RMB 15,755/mt, up RMB 100/mt or 0.64%. Trading volumes were down 2,788 to 22,420 lots and positions were up 1,802 to 29,310. And 1701 coal futures contract, the most actively traded one, on Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange limited up on Monday and hit the historical highest level. And coke 1309 futures contract, the most actively traded one, rose for 14 days in a row. Base metals moved higher across the board on Monday and SHFE 1612 lead kept buoyant and hovered at highs.

SHFE 1612 lead will be sensitive to rise for the nearing future.
