On July 24, LiDAR technology company Hesai Technology announced its recent partnership with intelligent new energy solution provider Westwell.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 24, LiDAR technology company Hesai Technology announced its recent partnership with intelligent new energy solution provider Westwell. The collaboration focuses on the intelligent application of LiDAR in various scenarios, including autonomous driving, port logistics, industrial robots, heavy machinery, and smart cities.

Under the agreement, the two companies will enhance LiDAR perception solutions on Westwell's new generation of unmanned driving platforms, exploring more intelligent applications and large-scale commercial implementations of new autonomous vehicle models as well as intelligent equipment.

The partnership between Hesai and Westwell began in 2018. Westwell's new energy autonomous driving solutions, equipped with Hesai's advanced LiDAR products, serve over 200 corporate clients across 20 countries and regions, earning widespread recognition in the global market. Their collaboration spans multiple levels, including technology, products, solutions, and value enhancement, aiming to improve efficiency and promote sustainable green transitions in the global logistics industry.

From distribution logistics to production logistics, Westwell and Hesai are integrating new productivity into transportation, production, and distribution, playing a crucial role in efficiency and carbon reduction. For instance, Westwell has helped the Port of Felixstowe in the UK establish the largest fleet of Q-Truck new energy unmanned commercial vehicles. In the airport sector, Westwell's new energy autonomous towing tractor Q-Tractor has been deployed at Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl), the largest independent air cargo terminal operator in Hong Kong, China. In the factory setting, Westwell's solution encompassing Q-Truck autonomous heavy-duty trucks and automated container warehouse has been implemented at the intelligent factory of Huawei’s automaking partneri, SERES.
